What is HullScan?
HullScan is the latest technology in boat hull inspection
services.
What can HullScan see?
A trained HullScan technician can locate common problems such as delamination, disbonding, ply separation, stress fractures and critical core failure.
How does it work?
The patent pending HullScan technology uses a very specific
frequency wave to penetrate composite materials. Fiberglass,
carbon fiber and Kevlar can all be examined. The HullScan
technician is trained to interpret the received wavelength
and determine what type of defect is present.
Does my boat need to be out of water?
Yes. The vessel will need to be hanging in the travel lift, blocked on land, or on a trailer.
What does it cost?
A complete HullScan is $15 per foot.
Do I get a guarantee?
Upon successful completion of the HullScan process a HullScan
certificate is issued and your boat may now be listed as
a "HullScan Certified Hull". The certificate does
not offer any type of extended warranty, it's sole purpose
is to state the condition of the hull at the time of the
HullScan.
